Exposition is a collaborative art book project featuring a diverse range of visuals by artists Alfin Agnuba, Ahmad Oka, Rudi Hermawan, and Fahriza “Kepeet.” The idea stemmed from a shared spirit of creating an independently published book, with every aspect of the production process—design, layout, printing, binding, finishing, and distribution—carried out collectively. Artist Statement"
As a graduate in fine art (printmaking), the technical stages in the creation of artwork are crucial, as it is a process that cannot be bypassed or shortened. Therefore, inevitably, these stages must be adhered to and undergone. From this perspective, I interpret the process as a space for play and experimentation, allowing me to explore new materials and possibilities in printmaking over the past few years. I have an affinity for stories and history, and thus, my artworks are somewhat inspired by ideas rooted in Indonesian history. In my opinion, the past (history) needs to be known as a form of awareness, so that things considered as negative experiences do not repeat. A wound undoubtedly leaves a mark, and that mark surely tells a story. Story- Image (illustration) - Print, these three elements are, to me, the simplest and most relatable form of expression with the general public. Hence, to this day, I continue to adhere to this principle as my method of creating art."
